This MLA paper is about a energetic, hyper, and very talented 13 year old girl who loves to write. You may have heard or seen the story of Anne Frank . In this story you will learn about her early life, her family, life before imprisonment and after. You will also learn about Adolf Hitler and World War two. Turn the page to see how it all started.

Anne’s Early Life
In this section you will read about Anne Frank, her early life, and her birth. You will also learn about her family.
Anne Frank was born in Fortford Germany in 1933.Anne had dark brown hair, slight buck teeth, green eyes, chubby baby face, and a great big heart. Anne was born in a place where they were treated just like non-Jews. I wonder if Anne Frank were never born would we have known anything about what a hiding place was like ? Would we have a historical monument about a different 13 year old Jew or not? I know I most likely wouldn’t know about concentration camps. I wonder what it would be like if she never were born?
Anne Frank needs a mother and a father to be born and that makes up a family. Anne’s mother was a tall broad woman that was married to Otto Frank. Otto and Edith had a daughter 3 years before Anne. Her name was Margot Frank. They lived together until the concentration camps. Otto was a wealthy businessman and ended up owning his own company. Mrs Frank was a stay home mom who would hold big parties there would be beef stew and bread and always pastries. Anne’s sister was everyone’s favorite. She never threw a fit or made a scene, yes she was the perfect child. In my opinion Anne had a loving family that always loved her.
Life before imprisonment was good. They didn’t have to worry about Germans or discrimination. Life was great for the Frank family and the other Jews.
Anne was born in Germany and had lots of memorable moments. She didn’t have to worry about Germans or discrimination. She could go to school with all the other kids and go see a movie with her family. With all the big cities like Hamburg, Bremen, Frankfurt, Munich, and East Prussia. Amsterdam had to be the most known with so many tourist attractions. I wish I could go and see Germany when I’m older so I can see the hiding place of Anne Frank.
Netherlands
Anne Frank moved to the Netherlands with her family for freedom from Germany. They moved hoping to get out of Hitler’s control but then Hitler took over almost all of Europe. But before that things were good. Anne was in school as well as Margot and Otto had a business to run. Anne also had many friends at school and never thought of Hitler being a threat. I wonder if Anne went to see the flowers a lot. She once said she used to take it all for granted and that she missed the flowers.
The Holocaust
Adolf Hitler comes to power. Hitler hated anyone who was not German and even then still didn’t trust everyone and even killed thousands of his own soldiers. He particularly discriminated against Jews. He would torture, beat, and killed millions of Jews so he could take over Germany.
Nazi parties were held in celebration of Adolf Hitler and his coming to power. People and children were taught to celebrate and appreciate the things that Hitler did and many didn’t question it. Children would give him flowers and teens would play in bands at the Nazi parties. It annoys and aggravates me to think about Hitler wanting fame for persecuting and killing Jews. Hitler was quoted saying in many Nazi parties, “Today Germany, tomorrow the world.” Hitler thought that getting rid of everyone would make him big in famous. I think he got what he wanted just the other way around no one likes him. At least not anyone I know.
World War Two was fought after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on December 1st, 1941. At that time it was just Japan and Germany but then it turned into a world war when America got involved. World War Two had multiple weapons like AK-47, semi-automatics, and even nuclear power yet it was never used. Franklin D. Roosevelt was president and declared war against Japan after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Persecution of Jews
Jews were persecuted a lot due to Hitler going insane and thinking that if he wiped them out he could take over half the world.
Discrimination of the Jews started as soon as Hitler came to power. Hitler had homes, towns, businesses, and other things of jews destroyed and vandalised. He then stopped them from going to other non Jewish stores , schools , and markets. He then made all Jews wear yellow Jude stars to identify Jews. Discrimination continued until after world war two and later Hitler committed suicide.
Many people that were Jewish or helped hide Jews were put in concentration camps and were forced to do labor like cooking, making tools, making clothing, and various other tasks. Then they were assigned barracks which, is where you sleep. Some camps were like regular summer camps, with a school, and just a single wire fence. But other concentration camps had maximum security, and were a lot more strict as in what you can and can’t do. If I were at one of these camps I would escape at night so no one could see me, then send my parents a letter and hope they didn’t get killed if the Germans found out I escaped.
Anne’s life in Hiding
Anne frank was hiding with her family, the Van Daan’s, and Mr. Dussel or Dr. Dussel for a little over two years. Who could be in hiding for that long?
Anne Frank lived with Mr. Frank. Anne loved Otto more than anyone else and thought no one loved her but him. Her mother Edith who tried to be there for Anne but always got turned away. Her sister Margot who was little Miss perfect in Anne’s eye’s. She also lived with Mr. Van Daan who was always crabby without his cigarettes. Anne also lived with Mrs .Van daan who would give Anne bad advice about being a lady but really I wouldn’t listen to it. And Peter who was a good friend to talk to when things got tough. They lived together for two years.
The conditions of Anne Frank’s hiding place were just awful. Imagine 7 people using a toilet and not flushing it for 11 hours. Anne also couldn’t talk to friend in fear of getting caught. They also couldn’t move for almost 12 hours at a time. I have ADHD so I could definitely not do that. They also had to burn scraps in a oven so that there was no evidence of them hiding up in the attic for that amount of time. The conditions were harsh. Would you want to live like that?
Arrest of Anne Frank’s Family
The arrest of Anne Frank’s family was devastating to them. Also to the Van Daan’s and to Mr.Dussel. It was also a big find for the Nazi’s. To find 7 people is very good. If you were looking for money 7 dollars would be a good find.
Life in concentration camps was tough in some you were watched 24/7 and could not talk to any other prisoners. Where in others they had schools and it was just like summer camps just with wired fences and hallway formations. Kind of like summer camp at Camden. You would eat when they tell you but you had a little of free time and not so much security. I could probably go and do ok at one of those types of camps.
Death and Survivors
Most Jews died do to the gas chambers or of diseases. But there were also a lot of survivors. In the next section see who survives and who didn’t.
Anne Frank ended up dying with her sister Margot and her mother Edith. Also Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan with their son Peter died. As well as Mr. Dussel. There were multiple people who survived. One of those people we know survived was Otto Frank. Miep and Mr. Kraler also survived. You may wonder why I add them but in that time if you were caught housing jews you would have the same fate of the people you were housing.
Anne’s story lives on
Anne always wanted to be remembered so when her diary was published it shows that a little piece of her is still with us living on just like she wanted.
Discovery of Diary
Anne had left her notebook when she was being taken out of her hiding spot in 1944. After the Gestapo left Miep left to go upstairs and see what they took. When Miep did this she found Anne’s diary she saved it for her for if she ever returned. Anne never returned sadly but Otto her Father did. Otto ended up reading the diary that Anne wrote when she was 13 years old. It was later published and got the title of Anne Frank’s Diary.
Anne had all sorts of things in her diary. She had peter in it and Otto. She also had the Van Daans and Mr.Dussel. Without this information we would not know about anyone of these people. The diary also had about there ups and downs and there hard times through D-Day.we also know her feelings about peter and her parents as well as Mr. Dussel.
Anne Frank’s house
Anne’s house was located in the city of Amsterdam. It was a beautiful place right near the waterfront. You could see the water from the top story of the house. Steamboats would come through. I imagine that would be hard to fall asleep to. My grandma went to the place Anne Frank lived for 2 years and said it was scary just standing at the secret entrance. I would be scared to it would be scary.
Anne Frank’s house is now a museum you can see for a history project or just for fun. You can still find history inside today. There is a new diary entry they found in the house if someone else so I wonder if after Anne Frank did they hide someone else. That would be cool to have to diary entries from two different people who stayed in the same hiding area just after each other.
