Introduction:

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a term used for simulated intelligence in machines. It is also part of computer science that emphasizes the creation of intelligent machines that work and react like humans. The ideal characteristic of artificial intelligence is its ability to rationalize and take actions for achieving a specific goal that they are programed to work upon. The machines are programed to think and mimic the way humans act which includes: speech recognition, learning, planning, and problem solving. (Dragonette 2018)

The term artificial intelligence was first used by Jhon McCarthy in 1956, when he held the first academic conference on the subject; to understand if machines can truly be more developed than humans or not. Moreover, Vannevar Bush proposed a system which amplifies people’s own knowledge and understanding. After five years Alan Turing wrote a paper on the ability of machines to simulate human beings, and the ability to do intelligent things such as playing Chess. (Dragonette 2018). This research paper will explore the history of artificial intelligence and when did it start. This topic was chosen to dig deep into the technology world and learn more about its benefits.

Literature Review:

It was cited that artificial intelligence requires many skills to be at the same level as humans. First, knowledge engineering which is a core part of artificial intelligence; machines can’t act like humans unless they have rich information about the world. AI must have the knowledge of objects, categories, properties and relations between all of them to implement knowledge engineering. Second, machine learning, which is learning without the need of supervision. This requires AI to have mathematical analysis and clarification skills. Third, machine perception which deals with the capability to use sensory inputs to deduce the different aspects of the world, while computer vision is the power to analyze visual inputs with a few problems such as facial gesture recognition. (Benefits 2016)

Researchers have also mentioned that artificial intelligence may affect human’s future because the machines will be highly intelligent and more developed than humans. In addition, machines can hack people’s privacy without knowing because they are only programed they can’t think of what might happen later on. Machine can as well harm humans. For example, self-driving cars have machines that are designed to decrease the possibility of risk the person might get while driving. Therefore, if the system of the car crashed down the person will get in danger. (What Is Artificial Intelligence 2015)

Rational:

People are questioning about artificial intelligence; whether it will replace humans? because of what is happening nowadays people are afraid that they won’t get jobs in the future. What jobs will it take? What will be people’s reaction toward this mechanical intelligence? Do all countries agree with substituting humans with machines? How will artificial intelligence be produced in the market? What is the goal of artificial intelligence? In addition, what are the advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence?

Method:

The method that is chosen for this proposal is conducting a survey. The survey will contain few questions about artificial intelligence and will target all ages from sixteen and above, because teenagers have a future vision toward technology.

Design:

The hypothesis will be tested through an electronic survey via www.surveymonkey.com. some of the survey questions will ask about issues considering substituting humans with robots. While it is almost guaranteed that most people have thought of this issue. Their answer to the survey would affect the results of the research positively.

Procedure:

The procedure that will be used in this proposal is a survey because, it is the most convenient way to learn more about artificial intelligence and what others think about the issue. The survey will be distributed among both genders from the age of sixteen and above, they will be given a link to the survey questions on www.surveymonkey.com. The questions will be focusing on will artificial intelligence be beneficial for our future? Will artificial intelligence get over the all jobs in the future?

Expected Results:

Results that may come down each question might not seem convincing for people nowadays; however, it may seem right in the future. Artificial intelligence have advantages and disadvantages; it will make our future life easier but at the same time many people will loose their jobs. as a result to the artificial intelligent machines that will be placed in robots. Those robots will be programed to have the knowledge of every work as humans. It might also be correct that artificial intelligence will be produced in the markets and they will eliminate humans.

Conclusion:

All in all, there are few studies that have been conducted about artificial intelligence and what will be the future of it. This proposal is a start for a research that mainly highlight the main points of artificial intelligence. In addition, it will answer some questions that are roaming around in the reader’s mind. Furthermore, this research will be beneficial for the government and employees which it will explore them more to the technology and how will it help the country.
