According to Peter Senge1947, a learning organization is an organization that promotes and facilitates learning in order to continually transmute itself to survive and stand out in a rapidly changing business environment ,considered through “five disciplines” which includes personal mastery, mental models, team learning, shared vision, and systems thinking . the above disciplines depicts core disciplines in building an learning organization .further, each of the above elements are analysed in relation to MBA
SHARED VISIONS:
Shared vision provides blueprint for creating instructional goals , methods and processes that work for all the employees with in the organisation .( Peter Senge,1947) the capacity to hold shared picture of the future within MBA is lacking .The collective commitment of employs with in MBA to achieve there vision is missing with in organisation . The purpose and actions of achieving the vision must be readable to all the employees of MBA. The shared vision on projects and future goals helps the growth and improvement of MBA to be a learning organisation.(Huczynski,2013)
PERSONAL MASTERY
Organizational learning occurs mainly through individuals who learns .it mainly concerning on what you as an individual want to achieve, MBA can try to reach this by providing learning environment with in the organisation along with continuously inspiring people to learn more .leadership with in MBA is more like a transactional kind leadership which environment is not suitable for staff to learn with in organization, rather than being transactional leaders mba should follow transformational leadership which aspire people to learn with in organisation .motivating employees at individual level provides a path to be a learning organization for mba . .(Huczynski,2013)
TEAM LEARNING
Team learning provides platform to bring together different employee expertise and skills that are required to complete the task in a given span of time . with in MBA those group interactions , collective thinking and actions to reach same goals are nonexciting to some extent. Such learning process must be encouraged with in MBA , where aligning and developing capabilities of the team to create the results its members truly desire. The improvement with this method regarding the employees who have special needs will help in team learning of MBA to be an learning organisation .(Huczynski,2013)
SYSTEMS THINKING
Systemic thinking deals with understanding interdependency and complexity and the role of feedback in system development . the ability to comprehend and address the whole and to examine the interrelationship between the parts is been not considered in MBA .The delay in projects is a main problem faced by MBA ,this method allows the employees to attain results in stipulated time. .(Huczynski,2013)
MENTAL MODELS
The mental modules allows the individuals who want to learn ,who know how to learn strategically and who, in their own highly individual and flexible ways are prepared to form a learning organisation .the development of awareness and constant refinement of thinking most be adopted within MBA .MBA should encourage employees to work in teams and create a learning environment which individuals can create a mental models of positive interactions with in the organisation .(Huczynski,2013)
KURT LEWIN’S MODEL
It is the cornerstone model for understanding organizational change .This model is known as Unfreeze-Change-Refreeze . the three stage model is explained in context to MBA below.(Hussain,2018)
UNFREEZE :Unfreeze is a change efforts to overcome the pressure of resistance to change. Driving forces for change need to overcome the resistance forces .MBA has created the need for change to some extent where as not able to overcome the strains of individual resistance and group conformity .MBA needs to increase the driving forces that direct behaviour of employees away from the existing situation along with decreasing the resistance forces that negatively effect the movement from existing equilibrium.
CHANGING(or MOVING ):Moving bring actual shift in behaviour . MBA need to apply this process where thoughts , feeling or behaviour or all of them leading to more liberating or more productive with in the organization . where team members of MBA have opened up there minds change can start . change is a dynamic process it needs time to happen
REFREEZE :Refreezing deals with stabilizing the change . in this process MBA should develop ways in making new change permanent. This gives opportunity to thrive in organization to take full advantages of change .(Burke,2018)
